Mini Meadows Farm is our lovely children’s farm park set in 12 acres of rolling countryside on the Northamptonshire and Leicestershire border.
Come and meet our cute, not quite so cute, large and small farm animals. Learn what they eat using our colour-coded feed buckets, stroke the guinea pigs and rabbits, and if you’re lucky you may even see a chick hatching!
Go exploring on our reservoir walk, build sandcastles in our huge indoor sandpit, and have fun on our fantastic indoor and outdoor wooden play areas.
Our cafe’s coffee, homemade cakes and light lunches are delicious, and we also have picnic areas and lots of space to run off some energy. It’s a great value day out for adults and children alike, whatever the weather.
Take a look at our events page to see what’s coming up. We look forward to seeing you soon!

This is always a memory-making visit for the little ones as we run lamb bottle-feeding sessions throughout the day, every day, for about 6-8 weeks. Lamb bottle-feeding starts at the end of February. For more details, have a look at our events page.
Animals move indoors/undercover for winter
December is here and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! All of our animals have been moved either indoors or under cover during these winter months to make sure they’re nice and snuggly, which is good news for you too as you don’t even need to get your boots muddy when you come to meet them. We are closing for a few days over the festive period, but not for long – from 3pm on Christmas Eve, all day on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day. Normal opening hours from January 2nd 2019. Thank you for your support in 2018 – we really do appreciate it.
Christmas events at the farm
Now Halloween is over, we’re gearing up for Christmas at the farm. We’ve got lots planned, including ‘Story time and gingerbread decorating with Mrs Claus’ for the little ones, and our ‘Winter Wonderland’ parties – games, a disco and snow! We will also be running are usual festive crafting and kids activities over two weekends (8th/9th and 15th/16th), when we will also have carol singers and a brass band.
Launching… the Mini Meadows Farm calendar 2019
We have produced a lovely 2019 calendar full of pictures of our Mini Meadows Farm animals, sure to make you smile! They are now available to buy from the farm at £5 each, but hurry, we only have a limited number. All proceeds will be going to VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas) to help establish a small farm in Tanzania.
Treetops indoor play – reduced entry after 3pm
To make the most of The Treetops, we have a reduced entry price to the farm after 3pm (£2.50) – perfect for after school entertainment! The Treetops opened a year ago and is a huge hit with children of all ages. It includes climbing walls and rope bridges, huge slides, tunnels and funky lighting, and there’s even a separate area for toddlers – small enough for little legs but still just as fun. Click here to watch the video.
TEDDY BEAR PICNIC
Wednesday 22nd & Thursday 23rd May
11am – 12.30pm
Come along to Mini Meadows Farm for our teddy bear picnic and story time! Follow the paw prints and go on a bear hunt to find our Mini Meadows bear (don’t forget to bring your favourite teddy to meet her). Settle down in our magical bell tent for story time as we read ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ complete with actions and props, then tuck into your picnic looking out across the farm (bring your own or pre-order a lunch bag from our cafe). After the picnic, some special guinea pig guests will join us for strokes and cuddles, and there’ll also be a little crafting activity perfect for tiny hands (and short attention spans).
The event starts at 11am, will last approximately 1hr30m and is suitable for children aged 1-4 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult (maximum one adult per child). Tickets are £5 per child and adults free for the Teddy Bear Picnic event, plus normal farm park entry.
From February 25th 2019 – mid-April
Sessions throughout the day
Join us this spring at Mini Meadows Farm to bottle-feed our lovely little lambs. Come and meet our other cute newborn animals in the baby barn, explore our huge indoor play area, The Treetops, and of course don’t forget our other larger animals will be waiting to meet you.
Bottle-feeding the lambs starts mid-February and continues for a good 8 weeks, 7 days a week. We feed the lambs throughout the day, but to begin with in the first few weeks we have a limited number of bottles per session (when the lambs are really small, they naturally cannot drink/eat as much).
Sessions last approximately 15 mins and we ask that you are at the lamb pens 5 minutes before your session starts. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Normal farm entry price (£5 per child/adult and under-twos free) plus £1 per bottle.
PRE-BOOKING: Bottle-feeding the lambs is very popular. To avoid disappointment, please phone us on 07824 393517 from 9am the morning you are planning to visit us, in order to reserve a bottle for one of our feeding sessions that day.

We have a whole programme of events lined up for the next year but for the next three months we have:
1. The launch of our new amazing indoor play area.
2. Freaky Farm Farm for Halloween (dates to be confirmed)
3. The BIG Christmas shop...wait and see
Our tractor racing circuit is in full swing for the next month, until the 20th September when the big build will start for our huge indoor play area. This is not going to be some awful plastic ball pit but an amazing chunky wooden structure with dens, climbing ropes and places to hide. Fingers crossed it will be open by the end of October.
